I love you for a thousand reasons.
I first loved your brilliant mind, your thick wavy hair, your dimple..
I first loved your passion, your strength, your wit.
I first loved you in a suit and tie.
I first loved that you had fought impossible odds
to gain custody of your daughter.
I loved having you as a friend and confidant.
I loved your fierce patriotism; I loved that you re-ignited that spark in me.
I loved the fact that you thought I was flirting with you when I sang in your ear.
I didn’t know I was..
Anyway…
I still love all those things about you. More than before.
And
I love the way you smell.
I love the way you sometimes skip across the room.
I love the way you sing in the shower.
I love the way you sing to the cats.
I love the way that you call me ‘sweetie,’ and say ‘I love you dearly.’
I love to see you studying the Bible.
I love walking together in Christ.
I love your kindness and affection toward our friends and family.
I love your tenderness toward our children and grandchildren.
And the way you tell me that I’m beautiful and you’re Quasimodo.
I could go on and on.
But it’s mostly because you make me laugh.
Honestly, except for my boys you’re the funniest person I’ve ever known.
And you never miss an opportunity to be funny ~ no, to be hilarious.
I can’t help it ~ That’s what I love the most.
Beautiful Song of Love!
