A Visit From The Darling Of Heaven

John 1:14

“The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us”

Oh, marvel of marvels, how could it be that the Darling of Heaven would condescend to step down into the mire of humanity?

“We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only”

Yes, we have seen Him ~ His Glory! There is no seeing Him without experiencing the Glory! The Brightness of the Light of the world, the express Image of God! The One and Only Begotten Son, Most Beloved

“Who came from the Father”
Straight from His throne, where thousands upon thousands of saints and angels worship Him now and forever
“Full of grace and truth”
All of His fullness, wrapped up in a tiny baby!

Grace greater than our sin
Truth of God’s love unimaginable
Marvel of marvels! Miracle of miracles!
Wonder of wonders!
That’s what Christmas is!

“Love was when God became a Man,

Locked in time and space, without rank or place;

Love was God born of Jewish kin;

Just a carpenter with some fishermen.

Love was when Jesus walked in history,

Lovingly He brought a new life that’s free,

Love was God nailed to bleed and die

To reach and love one such as I.”

THANK YOU, JESUS, FOR LOVING US THIS MUCH!

Dear Lord, we fall to our knees and worship You today for all that You are! You are King of Heaven, Lord of all creation, and yet You came to earth, a tiny baby.  Your sacrifice is too great for us to comprehend, Your love too deep, too wide for us to even ponder. How grateful we are for Your loving kindness and mercy! Thank You for coming to this earth and taking on a human body. Thank You for giving Your life for us! May we never forget Your great love, especially at this time of year. Please help us to keep a servant’s heart during this season, just as you did. May we too live lives that bring honor and glory to the Father! Amen.

    Becky, This is a fitting message about the glory and beauty of our Lord Jesus Christ.
    He is altogether lovely and worthy of our praise and worship. Thank you for writing this.

      Thank you for reading this, Adele! I was inspired by your beautiful Christmas card from our beloved book of John. Thinking of you and David at this blessed season, and Merry Christmas!
